Privacy policy

Who we are

MoneyMatcher (https://moneymatcher.co.za) is an independent loan comparison website operated by KISS MY ADS LLC, a company registered in the United States. We are the responsible party for the personal information processed through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Questions, requests and complaints about personal information go to our Information Officer through the contact page.

What we collect

Contact form: your name, email address and message, sent through Web3Forms (our form processor) to our mailbox so that we can reply. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with them and for two years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each request for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a short, rolling period and are not used to identify you.

Partner links: when you click through to a lender or matching service we generate a random click reference so that the partner can tell us a referral came from this site. That reference does not contain your name, ID number or any other personal detail. Anything you then enter on the partner's site is collected by the partner under its own privacy policy, not ours.

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not ask for your ID number, bank details or income anywhere on this site.

Why we process it and on what basis

To answer your messages (your consent and our legitimate interest in running the service); to keep the site secure and available (our legitimate interest); and to count, in aggregate, which partner links are used so that we can be paid for referrals (our legitimate interest). We do not use personal information for direct marketing and will not send you marketing messages unless you have opted in, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Web3Forms (form delivery), Cloudflare (hosting and security) and, only in the form of the anonymous click reference, the affiliate networks and companies whose links you choose to follow. Some of these operators are outside South Africa; where personal information leaves the country it is protected by the operator's contractual and legal obligations to a standard comparable to POPIA (section 72).

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw any consent you have given. Use the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za. Our Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) manual is available on request through the contact page.

Security, children and changes

The site is served over HTTPS and the small amount of personal information we hold is kept in access-controlled mailboxes and systems. The site is intended for people aged 18 and over; we do not knowingly collect information from children. We may update this policy; the date at the top of the page changes when we do.
